Baldur’s Gate 3 is 10/10, you know it I know everybody knows it. Do you know what can make it even better? Mods! With the release of official modding tools this year, we want to point to some of the great mods you want to keep an eye on and try out.
Looking for something else? Here’s some quick links to other BG3 mods I’ve tested:
With official modding tools out, these mods will get even better and be even easier to install.
If nothing else they will be available to you guys who play on consoles.
So enough of the foreplay let’s get into it.
1. TRANSMOG ENHANCED

Link: NexusMods
The only thing that I am mad at Larian (and all the other companies that do this) is that they launched an RPG without Transmog system. It’s one of the cardinal sins in my book and if I were an emperor of the world that would be illegal.
I hate when I find something that looks awesome on my character and it fits his class and then I have to change it to something that makes me look like a moron just because it makes me more powerful.
For you who have never played WoW, and are wondering WTF im babbling about, “Transmog” is changing the armor’s appearance to another, while keeping the stats.
This godsend mod lets you do that and get this, it even works with moded items.
This is a must-have QOL mod, make sure to get it and leave the mod author an endorsement.
2. CAMP EVENT NOTIFICATIONS

Link: NexusMods
A very simple mod that will put a notification over the companion’s head when a camp event is available so you don’t miss any story cutscenes.
3. BAGS, BAGS, BAGS

Link: NexusMods
Now we will give you a few mods to help with inventory management.
This mod will put a BAG with a lot of other BAGs in a tutorial chest on Nautloid.
What is so special about that? Well, these BAGs have a nice appearance and icons for sorting different types of items you get in the game like for example arrows, potions, and books.
The best part about it? When you loot something it will get auto-sorted into its appropriate BAG so your inventory dosent look like a garbage yard.
4. MARK BOOKS AS READ

Link: NexusMods
This mod will mark the books you read with a green outline.
It’s quite simple and it works. You won’t have to worry anymore about what you have read or not to progress your quests.
I never play without this mod anymore.
5. AUTO SEND FOOD TO CAMP

Link: NexusMods
Remember how your inventory weight is always full? But then you leave every sausage you looted in the camp chest and suddenly you feel like Atlas and can lift the Earth.
This mod will just auto-send food to the camp as the title suggests.
It’s one of those mods that you don’t notice but when it’s gone you can’t live without it.
6. GOLD HAS ZERO WEIGHT

Link: NeuxsMods
There are a couple of mods that increase your carry weight to Superman levels so you don’t have to worry about it at all.
We thought about going with something more “immersive” and just give you something that will help for a bit, without making you into Superman.
No one wants to leave their gold behind in case you run into a merchant so this mod will just remove the weight from it.
7. NO ROMANCE LIMIT

Link: NexusMods
Ok degens, we meet again. I think the name is pretty self-explanatory but briefly, this BG3 mod will let you romance multiple characters at the same time without the jealous one getting jealous.
Bit of a warning tho, as expected the mod seems to have a lot of bugs, so be a degen at your own risk.
8. NO PARTY LIMIT

Link: NexusMods
Another mod that has a self-explanatory title. Now you can take all your companions with you if you so choose.
The best part about it is they will all make comments about story events and won’t just be a token in combat.
9. BETTER TARGET INFO

Link: NexusMods
Another great mod that will spare you extra clicking and going through menus.
It will simply add targets Vulnerability, Resistances, Statuses, Race, and Level to the HP bar.
It will also rearrange some things and make ladders bold and easier to see and read.
Once you see the mod in action you won’t be able to go back to vanilla.
10. TUTORIAL CHEST SUMMON

Link: NexusMods
This mod will give you a spell to summon the so-called “tutorial chest” from Nautiloid.
Why would you need something like this? Because almost every armor and weapon mod that people make is put in there for you to use.
So if you do not want to hoard everything at once as you can not go back to the ship this is a great mod to summon that chest to you and take any modded items you wish at any time.
That’s all the race mods I recommend for now my dudes and dudettes. Hope it’s Friday where you’re at and Game On.
