Best Race Mods for Baldur’s Gate 3 (2024)

Baldur’s Gate is 10/10, you know it I know everybody knows it. Do you know what can make it even better? Mods! With the release of official modding tools this year, we want to point to some of the great mods you want to keep an eye on and try out.

With official modding tools out, these mods will get even better and be even easier to install. 

If nothing else they will be available to you guys who play on consoles.

So enough of the foreplay let’s get into it.

1. FANTASTICAL MULTIVERSE

We will start with this amazing huge mod. Why? Because if you only want one mod that is the most “bang for your buck” this is the one.

It adds 31 NEW RACES to the game for you to try out, including Goliath, Aasimar, Genasi, and crazy ones like Kobolt, Goblin, and Minotaur.

As we said if you want to install just one mod to expand the races in the game this is the one and now we will go over more specialized mods that flash out the specific races they are adding, more than this board mod.

2. WHISPERS OF DIVINE- AASIMAR

It’s one of my favorite races from the expanded universe. I was sad when I learned that they won’t be included on the launch, and that Larian won’t make any DLC-s in the future. 

Well, this mod fixes that.

The best features about this mod are its many appearance customization options and the fact that almost every other mod author that makes faces has a patch for this race.

3. WHISPERS OF FEY- GOBLIN

Do I need to even give you guys a description? Ok, a short one. 

From the same mod author as the Aasimar mod, this mod lets you play as a Gobo. 

I just need to make my coworker play as one during one of our playthroughs so I can LEL my ass off all the time. She kinda has their personality.

4. FAIRY RACE

Speaking of Fey, we have actual fairies. They come included with animated wings and special racial traits. 

Customization includes all body types with special horns and effects.

If you ever dreamed about being SOOKE! from True Blood this is the mod for you.

5. SATYR RACE

Guess we will keep pushing Fey races. 

This amazing mod adds goat-legged Satyrs with custom visuals for bodies, noses, tails, and tattoos.

They come with specific traits and the mod author made a huge amount of armors compatible with their furry legs. Give this Baldur’s Gate 3mod a shot.

6. GHOULS-UNDEAD PLAYABLE RACE

I leave the best stuff for last as usual even tho it’s a race that I would never play as but I know people love Undead.

This one comes with everything including unique subraces, undead tag in convos, special origin, a massive amount of custom heads and bodies, unique abilities, and a lot more.
